I Feel Pretty, Oh So Pretty
December 30, 2007
I just picked up these great fabrics from Cool Cottons on Hawthorne. I meant to go right after Christmas to check out their sale, but I was attacked by a bug and was out of commission for several days. Having almost fully recovered, I headed to the fabric store. I meant to buy a lot of bright fabric, but ended up a little tamer than expected. Maybe it’s because I’m not feeling particularly bright. These fabrics are going to make up a quilt for me. It’ll be my second quilt and I’d like to try to quilt it this time instead of using ties. I’m planning on using a red fabric with large white polka dots for the back. Something cheery and fun for the dreariness of the next few months. I found some great Japanese fabrics on ReproDepot’s website. Fortunately for me, I got a gift certificate for their website as a Christmas present. It’s the actual decision making that’s hard; there are so many great fabrics to choose from! Okay enough about fabric for now.
Gnome

Here is a wee gnome ornament I made last night out of leftover scraps. I love the gnome. The gnome is a fun creature. My love began when I first saw Amelie. The gnome wishes you a Happy Christmas. As do I.

Etsy Store
December 13, 2007
My blog has been in a stage of construction for some time and Chris has promised to finish it soon. When that happens all my links will work and things will look less sloppy. One of the new additions will be an actual link for my store. I finally posted a few things today. So it’s a little late to be putting up Christmas stockings for sale, but I was encouraged to try anyway. I also put a tote bag up that I made a while ago and it’s been sitting in seclusion waiting for its brothers and sisters to arrive. They have not, so up the green tote went to live on the internet all by its lonesome. So, if you care to look, here’s a link to my wee etsy store.
