Chambray on the Brain

I designed this dress a few weeks ago and finally got around to making a pattern for it. It’s a simple dress with a gathered neck and front & back darts.

I put an invisible zipper down the back. The keyhole is one of my favorite parts! I love the little ties.

The dress is kind of boring in chambray, though. So I felt it needed a bit of embellishing. The yellow rose print is vintage from Knittn Kitten.

I made a waist tie out of it and with the sew on tab-like things (plus blue vintage buttons!) makes the dress more funner, ya know?
