Sun Yellow | Sky Blue
I made these as a present. They are a cotton and wool blend, and I knit them on small-ish needles so that it would make them quite sturdy so as to be more slipper socks than regular socks.
It was also my first time to try intarsia, knitting with alternating colors at the same time. It worked pretty well! The only thing I probably wouldn’t do again is purl with it, because it wasn’t a very smooth transition between the knit 3, purl 1. But for the first time ever, I think it’s pretty awesome :)
I also made some little pom-poms for the side. Those might be removed, I’m not totally sold. But I’m happy to finish this project. It took me less than a week from start to finish. This is a big deal, seeing as it took me a year to knit my first pair. Woohoo! I’m getting faster at cranking these socks out. I think I have one more pair to do and then it’s time to start a hat or a scarf or a cardigan.
